My Tour de France '02 - July 5-28, 2002.

I flew from San Francisco to Paris with a connection in Toulouse in an unplanned trip at the last minute in early July. From Toulouse I traveled into Pays Basque (Basque Country), Bayonne, Biarritz, San Sebastian, and into Pamplona, Spain for the San Fermin Fiestas on July 7-14. I caught up with the Tour in the city of Pau, France on July 16 and from there I followed the race, into the Pyrenees and the Alps mountains, terminating in Paris on July 28th with the US Postal boys leading Lance Armstrong and his yellow jersey into the Champs Elysees in Paris on July 28th. History was made, Lance winning the 89th Tour and his 4th consecutive victory.

In the Pyrenees at Col de Port. Altitude: 1,249m
